Pressing it doesn't do anything.

I'm running XPpro.

Same here. T22, XP Pro, button does nothing. I think if you have a certain piece of IBM software installed, it brings up the IBM support center.

I ran the software from the IBM site, which scanned the computer then installed all the latest ThinkPad specific software, but haven't found anything for the ThinkPad button.

Thank you for the links. I had already downlaoded the stuff from the ibm site, but cannot find anything on the T22 to control the Thinkpad key. There are files titled "TPHKDRV, and TPHKDRV.VXD" installed in the drivers directory.

I can't figure it out :-(

TPHKDRV is the hotkey driver. The Hotkey executable is called "TPHKMGR.exe", which as the links indicate must be running. The direct link to the T22 Access thinkpad application is http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4XNSWX

If all the files mentioned in the instructions are somewhere on your drive, even though XP is not listed as a supported operating system, I can't think of any reason why, if you follow the instructions, it shouldn't work.

I've gone back to the IBM site, and believe I have everything intalled. Under the "Add or Remove Programs" Control Panel, I can see the ThinkPad Keyboard Customizer Utility is installed, but have no idea how to access it?????

Before you spend any more time on this, I think you should ask yourself: is it really worth it to have the 'thinkpad' button do anything? Its not that hard to open a web browser and go to the IBM/lenovo website for support.

Keyboard customizer is a different utility. Search your system for "TPHKMGR.exe". If it's found, click to get it running and then try the Thinkpad button.

I found several files, drivers I think, named TPHKMGR, but none with the .exe extension.

If all it does, is bring up the IBM website, then I'll give up the attmept to get it going. It really would not be worth the energy I've already expended on it :-)

Thanks folks!

If all it does, is bring up the IBM website...
When configured, the thinkpad button brings up the Access ThinkPad online guide not the IBM website.

Well, I did have that available earlier today. I tried it, and figured I wouldn't use it either.
