Why X60 series have longer battery life than x41?

Why X60 series have longer battery life than x41?

I think Core Duo CPU should consume more power than Pentium M CPU,
right? But in fact, it seems reverse.
I like thinkpad since 2001.

The big pro about Intel's mobile chipsets are low power consumption; hence, they reduce the minimum feature size as well as the power. Battery life is also affected by many other things as well; primarily, though, it is the CPU. The only problem caused by the chip feature size getting smaller with the same or slightly lowered power being delivered is the build-up of heat and the dissipation of that heat. :)
