How to get "backquote" on R52 WinXP

#1 Post by sorakan » Sun Feb 12, 2006 10:41 am

Hello

I am sure most of you guys know this. But I don't. I could not get "backquote" on my R52 WinXp. Please suggest how I shall do just to get the backquote.

Cheers,

It's prolly being treated as a 'dead' key. You should experience the same effect with the 'forward' quote (but not the 'upright' quote).
Try pressing 'backquote' and then 'space' - this should yield the backquote itself. Try 'backquote' followed by a letter (preferrably a vocal) - this should result in a character that has the 'grave' accent on it. Likewise, the 'forward' quote should yield the letter with an 'acute' accent on it.
You may want to try a different keyboard mapping/layout; coming from a UNIX/X11 background, I'm afraid I can't help you out on that ... sorry ...

Thanks,

I got problem resolved. It was due to WinXP's Regional and Language setting option.

Cheers,

Sorakan
