Hi,
I have an x31 which has a peculiar problem:
- After hibernation, as it is starting back up, windows freezes within less than a minute after loading - if the laptop is just runing on battery power.
- However, if the laptop is plugged into an AC outlet, it works just fine, and once windows loads, i can unplug it and it keeps working just fine.
has anyone seen this? any ideas / suggestions?
The laptop always worked fine, until recently, after an ugly XP crash which required a restore of all the files in C:\WINDOWS\system32\config, which i replaced their copies from a day earlier. This is when the hibernate / freeze problem began.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
Configuration:
X31, stock, Pentium 1.6, 512MB
Windows XP, SP1
X31 freezes coming out of hibernate - only if not plugged in
