AC 4.11a 'pop-up' when resuming from standby/hibernate

#1 Post by Paul Unger » Mon Feb 13, 2006 12:18 am

Ok, here's a wierd one . . . I just 'upgraded' to Access Connections 4.11a and now, whenever I resume from standby or hibernate, I get a ThinkVantage Access Connections "window" with a list of <commands> and <arguments>! It's like a bad Monty Python sketch ("I'd like to buy an argument." ) Except I don't really want to . . . :? Anyone else have this going on with 4.11a? Any ideas how to get rid of it? Thanks for the help,

Paul

Yes after the last time I wiped and reinstalled after the software updates from ibm I got that grey screen with the same dos looking stuff on it. I uninstalled access connections cause I never use them and it went away. You may be able to disable that in the msconfig startup menu so it won't come up ever.

I painstakingly took notes of all start menu options after each software install, SP2, SoftwareInstaller, wireless, avg, etc. etc. able to use that to shut down a lot of junk.

I didn't have this with 4.01, so maybe I'll 'down-grade' and see if it goes away. I don't want to get rid of AC entirely . . . I do find it kind of useful
