Looking for specs on A31p Type 2653-AU5

#1 Post by FuguTabetai » Mon Feb 13, 2006 4:32 pm

Hello all,

I'm looking to buy an A31p because my venerable, beloved A31 is starting to give me problems (it freezes randomly and the only option is to hold down the power button to reboot. Sometimes on boot the ThinkPad bios screen does not show up, it just stays black with nothing on the screen.)

Anyway, I absolutely love my A31 and was planning on making it a file server (I run Fedora Core 4 on it and have it set up with samba, atalk, and mt-daapd to server files to windows, my PowerBook laptop, and iTunes) and since I already have 2 UltraBay hard drives I want to replace it with another 2-Ultrabay capable machine. As far as I know the A31s are the last of those.

I'm checking out some auctions on ebay, and come across some models / types that are not in the tawbook.pdf (or tabook.pdf, I forget which I downloaded) that lists specs for the machines. I can find information on the machines on the lenovo site, but it does not have the detailed specs that the tawbook has.

Does anyone know if there is a more recent version of the tawbook.pdf that has all the models listed? Are some just not listed at all?

Thanks in advance,

dave

This might have beena custom order (CTO).

Here are the specs on the 2653-AU5.

You can also go here to look up any model.
