Missing operating system when press Access IBM!

#1 Post by zmlizm » Mon Feb 13, 2006 8:21 pm

I just bought an X41 and partitioned it. But now when I press Access IBM during start, it indicates" missing operating system". if I do not press Access IBM when starting, I can start normally! How to fix this problem? Any suggestion will be appreciated!

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forum :)

That usually means that the RnR partition has been wiped from the disk; did you make the recovery disks before you partitioned the X41?

Well; if you bought it from IBM, you might be able to request a set of Factory Image CDs for free or for a fee.
