X41 factory image

#1 Post by chrismuktar » Tue Feb 14, 2006 7:13 am

Hi all,

Been trying to restore my laptop after a failed software update, things have gone from bad to worse, my attempt to reinstall windows resulted in recovery being deleted, my attempt to reinstall recovery meant windows became unbootable, my attempt to recover is thwarted by an error, things are not looking good.

Does anybody happen to have something to help me fix this? I'm looking for factory image disks or something similar; for when EVERYTHING has gone wrong...

Thanks all,
Chris.

You should press the blue key "Access IBM" and after that follow the instructions, and in no time you have a fully working system. :D

Sorry for this stupid joke.

1. Find XP Pro CD
2. Download network drivers with your friends computer.
4. Donwload all drivers (+all useless software) from Lenovo
5. Keep on with or without RNR, its up to you.

Volá, you're back in business.

Q

X41, 1,5, 60G, 512RAM, CDR/DVD, X4, Extended battery, NO RNR, 1 Clean install
Nothing but quality

I just phoned ibm/lenovo and they said they'll send me some recovery cds in the mail, free of charge, courtesy of warranty.

Bargain. Lets hope it all works ok.

Thanks though.
