Yock ebay battery X31

#1 Post by Aristotle11 » Tue Feb 14, 2006 9:07 am

I got a new "Yock" (from China) generic battery on ebay for my X31, but it gave a constant blinking orange light no matter what I did. It held a decent charge but the blinking was annoying, and remained after draining and recharging a few times. Does anyone know how to get a good deal on a battery that is not a "yock"?

Try looking for a seller that doesn't have too many feedbacks, and does not have a million of the batteries up for sale.

If you find a more private seller, that is just selling 1-2 batteries, then it is probably a real one. The "yock" sellers usually have a million batteries for a million different laptops.

Remember: if it's too good to be true, it probably is. ;)

Just my advice!

Thanks. Good advice. I'll keep an eye out for such a seller. I couldn't find one selling today. Most people sell thousands of batteries at a time.

The ebay batteries are less than a third the cost of the IBM ones, but they might not be 100% compatible... The yock battery did work, it just blinked orange all the time.
