no..

unless you use a dock or port replicator..

but there ARE PCMCIA card based serial ports available..

PCMCIA card based serial ports are virtual. I need to have it soldered to the board so it is IRQ assignable. Does the dock/port rep do that? I know this all sounds silly, but some card access panels need the DB-9 onboard. I am trying to find a Lappy with one.

There are also usb serial ports.

Yep, i carry around a usb to serial adapter. I sometimes have to console in to a switch for work and thats where they are worth their weight in a semi pressious metal. :)

These are virtual ports also. Looks like I am going to have to plunk down another $400 to get a Synchronous PCMCIA RS-232 adapter or an older lappy.
