Verizon WWAN
Verizon WWAN
Does anybody happen to know if you might be able to use the Verizon EVDO WWAN with sprint instead...since its the same technology?
Probably it is locked to Verizon's service. If you have a SIM card or equivalent, you may be able to put your card in and use the service if it is not locked to Verizon. If you can go to a store and put your card in, you could find out for sure. [I believe the Z60 has a slot for such a card, but I am not certain. If you download and look through the Hardware Maintenance Manual, you should be able to find out for sure.]
Most cell phones can be unlocked to use a different carrier's service. You might try calling Sprint about this.

CDMA does not use SIM cards, but i'm guessing you're right and that it is locked down to Verizon. You'd think Sprint would be willing to work with you since it would mean money for them, but from past dealings with them, I highly doubt they will help us. Still won't hurt to ask I guess. The actual card is only $32 or so on IBM's website. Maybe they'll have a compatible Sprint version down the road....
Sprint has the Phone as Modem plan for $40 unlimeted. So you can use EVDO data unlimited when tethered to the phone. Not a bad deal, but sucks you can't use the built in options.
