Address bar problem

#1 Post by FRiC » Fri Feb 17, 2006 8:35 pm

I've been having this annoying problem with the address bar in Windows explorer. Normally I can type in a path or URL in the address bar and go there directly, but on my ThinkPad, it reverts to the previously displayed address while the address bar is being used.

If I really need to use the address bar, I have to type really really quick and press enter (within 2-3 seconds), otherwise it reverts to whatever was displayed there even while I'm typing.

I've searched for months and can't seem to find a solution (besides reinstalling Windows). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi
Dd you try to put the address bar on the task bar? Right click the task bar and click tool bars, then check the address bar.
Youcan use it like the one above. Unlock the task bar and slide it to the right length if it is squished up, then lock the task bar again. good luck hope it will work.
