Hard lock ups with ThinkPad T43

Hi

I recently bought a ThinkPad T43. I've been getting hard lock up problems were the screen freezes and the only solution is to turn off the laptop and turn it on. I've installed all Windows XP fixes and upgrades, and all IBM drivers upgrade using the Software Installer. I used check disk and I haven't fix the problem. Any ideas?

Take a look in Event Viewer for messages logged at lockup. Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.

Checked the event viewer. I don't see a error that could lock up my laptop. There are Network and Time errors but they seem to be associated with connecting to different networks.
