380Z and LINUX ???

#1 Post by Eronous Monk » Sun Feb 19, 2006 8:06 pm

What version of LINUX is thought to be the easiest to install on a TP 380Z?

It is a stock machine, and will only be used for linux so no dual boot required.

Can you recommend a prebuilt or ready to install distribution disk that is currently available online?

This is a difficult question.

What is your experience in linux? There are some distributions that are geared more towards folks that know what they are doing. Debian, Gentoo, Slackware come to mind here.

What are the specs of your machine? Some distributions are heavy on the graphical elements, making slower machines unbearable.
