T40 wireless in R31

I have an R31 with 802.11b, is there any way i can put in an a/b/g or a/b card from a T40? would i need to run new antenna lines?

just moved into an apartment with a very dirty 2.4 ghz band, constant disconnects. any help would be appreciated

get the hardware maint. manual for the R51 and T40 (see FAQ) and check the part numbers for each..

there are part numbers for compatible parts.. if they match, then you're ok..

antenna differences will show up as different part numbers..

if the wifi card is not compatible, the thinkpad won't boot up..
