If you are using a harddisk from Hitachi, the problem is solved by another complete solution

The 1.25 mainboard BIOS for the T43 does not aleviate the 2010 error. You can though flash a IBM/Lenovo firmware onto your Hitachi drive (essentially making your hard disk appear to be an IBM/Lenovo-supplied part). Subtle difference.
