IBM's T42p back order queue is empty?

#1 Post by spotter » Wed Jul 21, 2004 1:28 am

Well as many people know I was trying to decide on a T42 laptop to buy Well, I placed my order last friday (the 16th) and the laptop shipped today! (and seem to have gotten a free upgrade to 2 day delivery!)

are other people having the same experience or am I just lucky?

when i checked my order i saw i was upgraded to 2-day shipping, but once i checked my order i noticed that i had 13 packages of different weights being shipped to South Carolina from KOWLOON BAY, HK CN(i'm in virginia), I only ordered one t42. Has anybody heard of anything like this?

Yes, happens all the time. The TP will be on your doorstep before you notice it :)

Of course you're all wrong - to make things easier for FedEx (UPS?) to get the 'bits' thru the letter box, your laptop has been sliced up into 12 pieces + the instruction book and glue to put it all back together again - have fun.

(i used to eat italian family style in san francisco for $1.25 in the 1960's)

and i can tell you that this stuff DOES rot your brain.. :D

Hah! You're wrong about that - it was a VERY decent Buzet - grown not far from here - the 1996 I'm drinking at the moment is really exceptional. I'd send you a bottle if I thought it would get through A: Unbroken, B: Unopened
