New T43 and old N33SX

#1 Post by Troelz » Fri Feb 24, 2006 4:34 pm

Hello,

I just wanted you all to see my new T43 because I am so happy :) But then I found my dads old IBM laptop, and thought that it would be much more interesting to post pictures of. I think it was bought sometime in the early 90's. I don't know much about it. I started it up and it works perfect but there was no OS installed. Heres what I know (hmm, I guess this isn't even a Thinkpad). It is called IBM PS/2 N33 SX. It has a mono LCD screen, no drives (comes with external floppy drive), 16 MHz cpu, 2 mb ram.

Something sure happened since then up till now. T43 1.86 GHz, 512 mb ram etc. :)

Here are some pics. The design is surprisingly similar.

Wow, what a comparison, your dad's looks kind of like my old 380ED, just think those were state of the art not so long ago.

How did you make that cutaway portion for your phone?

The N33SX actually reminds me a ton of my first laptop, the ThinkPad 350C.
ThinkPad T60: 2GHZ CD T2500, 3gb RAM, 14.1" XGA, 60gb 7k100, Win 7 Ult
Latitude E7250: i5 5300U 2.3ghz, 12gb RAM, 12" 1080p touch, 256gb SSD, Win 10
