Which Thinkpad to buy??

#1 Post by Charles Mann » Tue Feb 28, 2006 1:37 am

I currently own the following Thinkpads, which were purchased new as they were introduced by IBM.
755c 9545-F0C
770 9549-1AU
A20p 2629-6UU
A30p 2653-65U

Being used to the quality of the earlier Thinkpad computers that IBM built, which of these two Lenovo Thinkpads is the best choice to purchase?
Z60m 2529-EAU
T60p 2623-DDU

Thanks

It depends what your after:
Z60m is a more multimedia based laptop with a widescreen.
T60p is a more professional based laptop with dual core proc.

I would go with the T60p since the T series has been around along time compared to the new Z series. Also in terms of build quality its hard to judge since both these laptops are now made under Lenovo instead of IBM.
