Where do you live? That's the fastest order to ship time I have seen on the forums.

I ordered a 2623D7U on May 5th and they are saying that it will not ship until June 1st :(

I live in Philadelphia, PA, but the item is being shipped to Wilmington, DE. Oddly enough, you can only see how many of each item they have in stock under certain agreements. I went thru the Higher Ed link for my state just to do comparisions of the 2623-D7U and 2623-D6U and there were 22 or so in stock of the 2623-D6U. That was why I was a little shocked when I got the shipment email this morning and kinda confuses me as to why they said two weeks inititally.

I checked the page again, and clicked on the link for the number of D7U's in stock. This is what I got:

https://www-03.ibm.com/lenovo/shop/pers ... id=2623D7U

Hope this helps!

Woohoo. Hopefully this means that we'll get the D7U real quicklike. :P

I hope so. I didn't even order a D7U, but the ship dates of the machines they give and the number of in-stock items is so way off. I'm estatic to have my machine to me so quickly though. Should be here by Wednesday I'm guessing.

I bought my 2623D7U for college and looked in to the educational discount. But after they put the unit on sale it ended up costing MORE than if I just bought it through their main site.

I am so excited about getting it in that it pains me to see how long it will take to even ship.

I have never seen this link before! It would be very useful to prospective buyers from Lenovo (just change the URL to have your intended model number).

For my 200763U it says "10 days".
For 2623DDU it says "15 days". <ducks before PreZ sees this> :D

So in less than 24 hrs, the stock status of the D7U has gone from 25 to 18 to 15 days! Holy...I hope that the ones in stock were allotted to us...

And yet my estimated ship date has stayed the same LOL .

Does anyone know the different phases you go through in the "Status: " area of the order page.

Right now mine says "Status: In process" What else will it go through before it ships?

Because I need more graphic power with Flexview machine for my work, and I found 2623DDU was on sale.

That is what I am afraid will happen with my order. The ship date is 06/01, but I am thinking that as soon as that date rolls around it will just start incrementing up...

Man I will be so mad if I wait 6 weeks just to wait another 1+. I see the purpose from a business stand point, but it frustrates me when they would put a model on sale that is already backed up in production.

I currently have a 2623 D6U that's about 3 weeks old. Not too long ago, I ordered a 2007 63U because I wanted a more powerful system. My original plan was to return my current machine as soon as I received the 63U.

My 30 day return period is almost up.
I just found out that my shipping date changed from 5/10 to 6/6.

Here's my question: will Lenovo let me waive the 30 day policy and let me return the D6U when the 63U arrives?

It's a longshot, but when I got the D6U, I sold my desktop!

I ordered a 2623-DDU the other day, and as of tonight it is estimated to ship 06/02. If I recall correctly, I changed nothing from the Top Seller configuration (perhaps the 15" IPS isn't in the Top Seller config?), hard drive, processor, and 1GB memory are all standard. Eitherway, I'm hoping it will ship sooner.

[censored]... You are in a bind. :?

You wouldn't think that they would let you waive the policy, but it's worth a try.

Just be aware that the 30-day policy applies from the day they shipped the D6U, not the day you received it!

Good luck.

my friend at IBM says i should have it on 5/15 (2623 DDU). he said that NOW there is a memory shortage. he also is looking into having the estimated shipping date code revised so that it is actually accurate. he said that everybody he talked to had no idea of the logic behind it. It was just yesterday that i had an estimated shipping date of 4/14/06... yes, april 14, 2006.

I just called Lenovo and for my 2007 63U (ship date currently reading June 6) the nice rep tells me that the packing slip has been printed and that it should be shipping in the next 3-5 business days.

Has anybody been told that their "packing slip has been printed" and if so, did your Thinkpad really arrive soon thereafter?

Rob,

When did you place your order? That would be good news and rule out the rumor that models with 1gig RAM modules aren't shipping. Anybody out there receive any T60p models lately, I'm interested to see if those ati 256mb FireGL cards have been shipping as well.

I'm still waiting for my 2623DDU ordered on 5/2/06 after returning my 14" T60. Est. ship date still shows as 5/23/06.

I ordered my T60P (2623 DDU) on March 25. I just received another notice that the new shipping date is June 5! I am in the same boat as everyone else. I have a dock, carrying case, etc. but no laptop. If they push the date again, I'm cancelling my order. But can I return all the accessories?

I agree with they guy who compared the ordering experience to buying a car. I think I would rather purchase a car any day then deal with Lenovo. They also modified my order after being placed and the EPP discount accidently fell off. Serious concerns over this company. I just hope the machine lives up to it's hipe.

I'm seriously considering cancelling my order as well, especially since people who have placed their orders a month before mine are getting pushed backed further. It would be an easy decision if I could find a 2623DDU in stock from a reseller. I know CDW had a few a month ago, but I've had no luck finding any 15" T60Ps in stock. Anyone know where I can purchase a 2623DDU immediately other than ebay? I'm quickly losing faith in their 3-6 weeks shipping estimates!

Just another data point for everyone:
Ordered: 5/4
Estimated: 5/31
Model: 2623DDU

It's a little worrisome to see people that ordered a month or more before I did have their ship dates pushed to June.

On the upside, the X60s I ordered shipped a week early. Waiting for it to show up. It was approximately 2 weeks from order to ship. Machine is a stock 170469U.

What I can't understand is, if there is no stock of the 2623DDU, and wait times are huge, why on earth do they have it on sale at the moment!?

Maybe they are expecting a huge shipment?
