Problem w/ z60m screen and funky colors??????????

#1 Post by trapper » Sun Mar 05, 2006 2:15 pm

I am not sure if this is a problem w/ the screen or what:

When I look at the Explorer or Mozilla browser....or anything that has that grey color around the task bar(recycle bin, My blutooth places..anything that has a windows task bar), I can see washed out squares that appear kinda blue within the normal grey color?
For instance, if you look below that top border of blue in the Explorer browser, you will see within the grey task bar area(the 1.5cm area between the top blue border and the white address box) what looks like discolored colored areas of little boxes...kinda like different shapes from a tetras game??

Any ideas? If you minimize the explorer window or drag the window around the screen the discolored areas stay the same! So that would indicate it is not BAD PIXELS? Right? Why does this gray task bar area look so funky?

Any ideas?

What do you have your resolution set at? Do you have it set down at 16-bit or up at 32-bit?

It sounds like your system is not running at its native resolution.

The resolution was on 16bit and I switched it to 32bit and the color is better.

What is the difference between the 16 and 32, and why did that fix it?
