Two designs of the T60?
Two designs of the T60?
It seems there are two designs of the T60, one that has the same streamlined, pointy edge as the T43 and one that is rather blunt.
This picture of the T60 from Notebook Reviews shows the same streamlined edge as the T43:
And this picture from the Korean review shows a totally different, obtuse edge:
Is there a different T60 design for the international market?

Here's an earlier review of the 14.1" T60 at CES, on notebookreview, that shows it also with the blunt edged front.

(The photo is really bad, but you can tell.)
I think I like the blunt edge better. It's interesting, though, because the pointy edge on the 15" is more like the old T4x. So it's like Lenovo changed the design more on one model than the other.
I'm a bit dubious of the speaker position on the 14.1" T60, however. At least with the pointy edge there's space to expose the speakers some. With the blunt edge it seems like the speakers practically have to be pointing straight down at the table surface.

thats one of my biggest worries - with the T2x, T30, and T4x, the speakers were positioned so that the sound ricocheted off the desk and back at the user, and worked quite well... im worried this new config is going to make it sound muffled, especially when used on something beside hardwood - I enjoy using my thinkpad while lying in bed or sitting on the couch more than at a desk.donking! wrote:
