What is your DVD read speed rate ?

I got a T43 (2668) for almost two weeks.
Today I tested the DVD read speed, copying a 3.5G file from DVD to HD (5400 RPM). And it took me 23 minutes, which is 1380 sec.
So the rate of DVD read is 2.5 MB / Sec, that is 2x speed, and my DVD
was 8X read speed.

Did anyone test your dvd read speed? Thanks if info provided.

I have two options, one is to ask for another DVD/CDRW drive, or I could return the machine to Lenovo, since it's still in the first month.

By the way, in the first week, my T43 happened to have a sudden death, and got total blue display, saying hardware conflict, really lack of confidence for this T43.
