color of thinklight

Today I got my T43 back from the repair center. When I opened it, I noticed something unusual on the top of the LCD frame. Then I realized it was my thinklight, and it's white.

It may be a silly question but.. Is it white from the beginning? Isn't it the same color as the LCD frame (yeah black), otherwise I should have noticed it before.

What's the color of yours?

My light on my T43 is white but it is tucked up in the case frame a bit so I had to make a point to look at it to notice.
