#1 Post by olbed » Tue Mar 07, 2006 9:37 pm

i can remove the drive, but the disk in inside. i tried the 'insert paper clip into small hole' trick.....no dice.

other ideas? I am getting the green flashing light when I press the eject button, but no action.

any help would be appreciated.

Try:
open My computer-->right click the disc driver-->select Eject-->left click it.

Maybe it will work.

Solution: When your computer is not turned on, pressing the eject button does not cause the drive tray to open. Make sure that the computer is turned on and that the drive connector is firmly connected to the computer.

If the tray still does not open, make sure that the computer is running, and insert the end of a straightened paper clip into the emergency eject hole. The tray will open.

I tried both..without success

The 'my computer' eject effort resulted in the green light flashing, that was it.

The paper clip resulted in nothing happening.

Thanks, though.
