Over the past week or so, a funny thing has happened to my display on my T40 model 237319U (14.1 in. XGA.)
Whenever I browse the Internet (I use Mozilla), and I go from one web page to another web page in the same window, SOMETIMES a pixel of a color on the first webpage gets stuck, and shows up on the next webpage. It even stays when I close Mozilla and open up another program.
It gets weirder though...
If I put my computer into standby, wait a bit, and then start it up again SOMETIMES the stuck pixel becomes unstuck. SOMETIMES it doesn't. Though restarting my computer has always unstuck the bad pixel.
The best part is that all of this happens ONLY when I am running on the system battery.
I HAVE updated my drivers for my graphics card (ATI Mobility 7500), and UltraNAV.
I HAVE NOT updated the BIOS or Embeded Controller System yet.
Just to get an early opinion, if updating all of the drivers doesn't fix this problem, should I call IBM and get my display replaced, or is this something I have to live with?
Thanks for the help,
Brian
