Sound quality

#1 Post by Silver Surfer » Wed Mar 08, 2006 10:44 pm

Folks,

The sound from my 390E's speakers seems kind of garbled or choppy. This is particularly noticeable when shutting down and the Windows default shutdown tune is played.

Could the speakers be toasted, or is what I'm hearing typical?

It shouldn't sound garbled. This is the time period that IBM had pretty good speakers in the laptops (390/770/600).

I would try reinstalling the drivers, if that doesn't work, then maybe the speakers are on their last leg.
