accessing password protected TP drive over usb?

#1 Post by eric530 » Fri Mar 10, 2006 1:55 pm

I currently have my t43 harddrive in an usb enclosure while my t43 is at easyserv. Is there anyway to actually open the harddrive on a another computer? When i hook up the drive to other computers, they recognize a usb mass storage device but it doesnt show up as a drive in my computer, I'm assuming because it is password protected? Any help or suggestions would be great, I can't boot from the harddrive as the other computer I have is a dell...

Eric,
When you said "password protected", do you mean your hard drive was encrypted? Usually another Windows XP/2000 box can open another Windows XP/2000 hard drive; unless it was encrypted. Have you try the Disk Mangement utility? Access Disk Management by right click on My Computer and select Manage. Find Disk Mangament in the Computer Management window.
