what to buy: T43 2686-M5U or 2687-DSU

Hi, I've decided to go with T43, drilled down to 2 models 2686-M5U and 2687-DSU.
The difference is DSU has 3 yrs warranty / bluetooth / 80GB / 9-cell Li-Ion.
Price: (both with 1GB RAM)
M5U - $1371
DSU - $1596

I'm leaning toward the DSU, I believe the 3 yr warranty alone over m5u's 1 yr is worth the difference.

Are there still fan problems in these models? The dsu is Jun05 model, was the fan pbm fixed in subsequent productions after Sep05?

Hello, I'm buying my first thinkpad and having a difficult time deciding if I should go in for a T43 or T60.
Been going through this forum since y'day and learnt a lot. Registered today to take part in the forum and get valuable feedback/suggestions from other forum mates.

For me: I went with the T43 because of time constraint. Lenovo will not ships T60 until middle or near the end of March. I couldn't wait because I am leaving the country. I am very happy with the T43. It does exactly what I wanted. Technically the T60 is better because of the dual core and faster BUS speed (my point of view anyway).
Good luck on deciding. You can't go wrong with either one.

its not a harungus difference yet id say t43 its the coolest

i would go with the T60, its just a better machine all around.

SXGA+ is MUCH, MUCH better than XGA.

Ordered my t60 2007-68U today. 3 weeks back ordered, getting it for $1920 incl tax and shippin. sweet deal
