7k60 from t41p in non-ibm laptops?

Hello.

Finding the 7k60 harddisk in my t41p a bit noisy, I'm considering going for a Seagate 5400 rpm drive instead.

The 7k60 has an IBM FRU on it (13N6807), so I assume it has the IBM OEM firmware?

If I were to sell the 7k60 disk to someone with a non-ibm laptop, would there be any problems using this IBM-firmware disk in another brand laptop? (Dell, HP, etc.) I assume it's standard, but just to be sure...
