I am looking at the specs for the T60p and notice a difference in wireless option. Can anyone explain the difference between the two?

The difference is the Atheros wireless chipset vs the Intel chipset. Atheros is Linux friendly and reputed to have better reception. The Intel one will make the machine a certified Centrino model.

You have to get the Madwifi drivers for the Atheros cards; some people say this is a bit restrictive considering the drivers for the Intel cards....But I have used Windows and Linux on both of those cards in Thinkpads and haven't noticed much of a difference. I think it should matter more how it deals with your wireless router. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
