X60/X60s screen quality compared with X31/X32?
X60/X60s screen quality compared with X31/X32?
Has anyone used both machines? While I know both are XGA, has the quality of the X60 screen improved since the X30 series? I mean in terms of glare from the sun, contrast, clarity etc..
One day it would be great to sit at the beach with a laptop but my current T42 screen (standard 15") just gets washed out by sunlight.
I've seen some nice Toshiba screens at the computer shop, they seem much darker and smoother, more contrast-rich..
Basically I am looking to downsize to an X32 or X60s ..

The X60s is a tad better then my current X31.
But not by much, that UltraLight type screen should be much better tough... too bad that Lenovo din't even knew they where offering it on their X60 range... I had to Tell them at their Cebit boot ...

It has a Higher NIT rating, and thus a higher brightness, resulting: better contrast and colours.
(If I was correct: 180Nits. v.s. 130Nits)
But since 12" laptop are to small anyway to do some decent foto editing I will take the cheaper normal screens... unless an ultrabright model crosses my way... (So I am not going to search for it

Where do you find the nit rating for the panels?
