X40 RAM Upgrade Questions

thinking RAM Upgrade...

current 512 MB .... Thinking to add 1 GB (one unit) more possible (total 1,5 GB)?


and what is the current model IBM RAM company ? corsair ?


is that another RAM company (like kingston etc.) possible? any damage ?
