Congratulations. I ordered back on 2/9th and am waiting for 3/25th's estimated shipping date. I have the leather attache and memory upgrade waiting for it's baby. The wait is getting more difficult because of the empty bag.

I didn't know that they made an R50P...but at any rate, you might want to try to sell it here first, it might save you the eBay fees.

[censored] it!!!!!!

I thought I had perfect screen like my R50P but I just found one dead pixel. It is a white pixel and only noticible on on dark background. I noticed it when I watched DVD.

Is it the 15" UXGA R50p? If so, the dead pixel should be really small and barely noticeable.

It is probably just a stuck pixel if it is just white; have you tried running the PSP Video over it for awhile?

I tested out that video on my T43, I could both generate and eliminate stucke white pixels.

HTH :)

Yes, but I am a pilot and I have really good eyes.

Yes, I have been playing it all night and tried rubbing the pixel. This white pixel is still there but it somehow became less brighter and noticible. It actually became practically unnoticible during DVD playback unless I try to look for it. I am going to play psp video tonight again.

Anyway, I am very happy with this laptop.

Since I am planning on replacing this T60P at the end of this year with new thinkpad with 64bit CPU and pre-loaded Vista, I guess having just one nearly unnoticible bad pixel on the screen is nothing.

That's optomistic. I'm guessing dual-core 64bit and Vista won't be available until this time next year or later. How often do these things get released when they say they will? Vista is already delayed. Might as well wait for 802.11n to become final also. None of this pre-N crap. Sorry, off-topic, I'm done.

I am trying to hold myself back from drooling too much over a new T0p; instead, I plan to wait for the Dual-Core 64-Bit Thinkpads to come out and then I will go for it. Although I will probably end up making it a dual-boot or triple-boot system with BSD and Linux...Maybe even OS X. :)
