X40 DVI and External DVD-Burner Questions

Can anyone confirm the model of a docking station which allows DVI to work on the X40. I understand that the X4 UltraBase does not have DVI, and iI read that the Port Replicator II is not compatible with the X40: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDe ... 902&depa=0

Also, I am looking into an external burner setup for an X40. I would like Dual Layer compatibility, just so I don't have to replace the unit if dual layer discs ever drop in price. I'm leaning towards the Lacie 300757: http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?id=10091
Any experiences with this unit or other external dual layer suggestions?

Just buy a internal dual layer burner and put it into a 5.25" enclosure
