How to replace a trackpoint cap on x-series ?

Just pull it out.
No secret to it.

How do you pull it out? With pliers?

You can just use your hands. If you want to use pliers that is OK I suppose. But you can just grab the tip of it and pull it. It is not attched or glued or anything.

The track point cap is a simply a cap. Don't be scared and just pull it out. Once you do you will see what I mean.
