Problem with 3com XJACK WIFI card's retractabl antenna!

I recently bought a 3com XJACK WIFI PC card off ebay, it's brandnew, however, I have a hardtime pushing the retractable antenna back to the slot, success rate is only 5 out 10, and even lower if the wifi card is placed in the laptop. Any one out here with same card, have you ever experienced similiar problem? or this is a defect item?

Known problem with some of the early X-Jack cards, especially the 11b WiFi "Office Connect" cards.

If you turn the card on its side, it will lock pretty much 100% of the time. Laid flat, you're at 50/50, or less.

The 11a/b/g cards are supposed to be better and I never had any problems with mine, but my son uses it now and hasn't mentioned any problems.
