Dock/Port Replicator Options

What are the various IBM Dock and Port replicator options. I am looking for at least 4 usb ports, and compatability with my T40, and maybe my T60 of the future.

The dock for a T4x will not work for a T6x..

Most of the docks will only give you 2 extra USB ports, so this along with the two USB out the side of the Thinkpad will give you 4 total. Another option is to attach a USB hub to one of the dock USB ports.

The T4x Port Replicator has a single additional USB port (plus other port connections) and uses the standard T4x power supply.

The T4x MiniDock has 4 additional USB ports (plus other port connections), and uses a dedicated power supply.

I have both of these and they work well!

There is another, higher level, T4x dock, but I don't have it and so can't comment on it.

As noted already by a previous poster, the docks for T6x laptops are different for those for T4x laptops.

The Minidock II is silent correct? eg no fans?

I no longer need the PCI slot in my Dock II and the fan in the Dock II is driving me nuts.
