#1 Post by toogle » Fri Mar 24, 2006 5:50 am

Has anyone succeeded enabling superG with WGT624V1 and ibm miniPCI wireless adapter?

recently i bought a ibm a/b/g miniPCI wireless adapter II which is said can be hacked to support superG by:

IBM 802.11abg card can support 108M TURBO G!
please follow me do the following steps.
1. Start-run-regedit
2. enter \hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\control\class
3. find atheros
4. add
1) Name=abolt type=string value=1
2) Name=disableTurboG type=string value=0

108 is disabled at the firmware level in IBM cards.

you can make it SAY its connected at 108 with some trickery, but it's still going to be 54.
