Can I exchange hard disks between two T41s?

I am a new member here. Hi you all!
Currently I use an IBM T41 with Windows XP English version. Due to some reasons I have to shift to another laptop, I have a choice between another IBM T41 or T40, both have Windows XP Japanese version. I do not have an installation CD for Windows XP Eng ver and I do not want to work on Japanese version. So I wonder if I could just interchange the hard disk of my English T41 with that of Japaenese T41.
Has anyone tried this before and has some advice for me in this matter?
I would be grateful if you could share in this thread. Thanks!

Yes, provided there's no SP or HD PW to interfere with the swap, there's no problem swapping HDs between similar systems.

It would probably be beneficial to install and run the Software Installer after the swap just in case the units aren't exactly alike.

Thanks to you Christopher and James, I just got the two system up and running in each other's H/W. it seems to work - I hope I wont have any problems.
Now I am getting greedier and would want to know whether this disk exchange is possible between a T40 and a T41 also?

Yes, it will work either way, but you'll definitely want to run the Software Installer after you make the swap in order to address the minor differences between the systems.
