I seem to be getting my knickers in a twist.
I have bought an external 3.5" SATA hd enclosure and intend to put a Hitachi 160gb SATA hd. The enclosure comes with all the external cable but not the internal power and data cable. The web site from the company that I intend to buy the drive from, says, OEM model, cables not included. Seems that I have to buy separate cables. Is this normally the case?
But every site I search, SATA and power cables are about 0.5 meter long. My external HD enclosure will not have space for all this excess cabling.
What does one normally do?
Very grateful for any advice, even if it is to buy a different hd that comes with cables!
