On screen display of Sound Loudness Level

I've lost this display (green vertical bars indicating the sound lecel) for some reasons. Does anybody know what utility or driver I need to download from IBM to restore it? It's for a X21 model. if it matters. Thanks.

I believe it is the Hotkey function that you need to download and install.

If you are using XP, you should try using the software installer. It will pick out everything that is used on your system, but you can decide which ones to load and which ones to skip.
