this didn't happen before i updated my drivers- but i can't roll back for some reason.
so when i press the middle blue button (its programmed to scroll) it sometimes get stuck (not physically). so i'm forever locked in the scroll mode and cannot move my mouse cursor anymore, i can only use the thinkpad to scroll up and down. it sometimes gets out of it after i jam on my mouse buttons and it works when i log off user (right before it completely logs off). this is REALLY REALLY annoying so any help would be appreciated. i have stopped using the button (which is annoying in itself) but when i accidentally press it i have to log off to make my computer usable again. (note that this happens 90% of the time i use the button, not everytime, which is weird.. because when i brought it in to the thinkcenter it worked PERFECTLY fine the whole time. grrrr)
Help! Middle button scroll locks up...

Well I don't know if this will help , but Windows sometimes gets confused about what the scroll button is for; I made a post on this in a different topic, namely the scroll button looking up in Exceed X; See
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=21642
It contains a complete description of how to get it "unstuck" in Exceed; but as far as I know, that will also work for any program in Windows. There appear to be different handlers for each scroll button type event; hence, you can choose the UltraNav wizard to emulate a "Windows" scroll or just continue with the "Thinkpad" scroll.
If you do that, *make a backup* of the registry beforehand. Let me know how it goes if you do indeed decide to try it.
