T60P telphony service

I'm examing my event log and see that the telphony service is continually starting and stopping.

Example:
The Telephony service entered the stopped state.

and less than a minute later:

The Telephony service was successfully sent a start control.

Then

The Telephony service entered the running state.

Then another event within 2 minutes informing me of the stop state.

Needless to say, this is creating a lot of events in my system log file.

I don't recall touching anything dealing with telphony. The only network thing I set up was a wireless connection in access connection to connect to my wireless network. Wired and dial-up I have left alone.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? I don't think it's normal since my other machines don't do this.

BTW. I have run software installer and installed the lastest items it has detected as being out of date.
