Display select problem

#1 Post by jbs » Mon Mar 27, 2006 10:52 am

I have an IBM ThinkPad T30. When I first tried to hook up my tv as a second display monitor I went through the whole display settings and IBM control panel to properly set it up, but in the process I disabled something that doesn't seem to be possible to re-enable.

Before, when I pressed Fn+F8 a little screen popped up with the selection (LCD Only, LCD+TV, TV Only), but now the screen doesn't show up and it just cycles though the available displays each time I press the combo. I remember I disabled tha on-screen display select option, but the question is if there is a way to turn it back on?

i have a z60m, here's how to fix it on mine, dunno if it will apply to you:

start > programs > thinkvantage > presentation director

once the presentation director opens up, you can change the hotkey settings (FN + F7 on mine) to bring up the menu, toggle a specific mode, or cycle display modes.
