T43 2686 DGU DVD RW speed, Lenovo Canada

Hi all,

After returning my original T43 DFU, for a DGU, I received a DVD RW with the DGU, but from the original time of order, I read the burner would be a 4X multi burner, now it's listed on the site as a 2X... I checked using the Nero HWTool, my burner gets approx 2X speed...

my question is: is there anyone out there with a 2686 DGU with the OEM multiburner... what speeds are you getting for the DVD?

just curious, should I contact them regarding this? or was it a typo... are there two types of multiburners out there, 4x and 2x...

Your burner is listed as 2x. IBM does offer a 4x option I do believe, do not have the PN handy at the moment however.
