Microsoft "Bugs" me!

#1 Post by GomJabbar » Tue Mar 28, 2006 8:55 am

And yet another IE bug. Microsoft hints at early IE bug fix
vnunet.com wrote:The company said that its team of security developers is working on a fix, and that it will release a patch before the next scheduled update on 11 April if the "limited" attacks became widespread.
------------------
One of the bugs simply causes the browser to crash, but the other two could allow remote code to be run on the user's PC.
Get out the Raid! Microsoft Opens IE Bug Database
PC World wrote:Microsoft has established a public database to allow Internet Explorer users to report bugs in the Web browser.
Caveats:
PC World wrote:To post or view bugs, users must sign up for a Passport account on the Microsoft Connect Web site.
------------------
Microsoft is only accepting bug posts for Internet Explorer 7 and future versions.
EDIT: I didn't realize this was OT for the Windows OS forum. Maybe my subject line threw the Mod off. I'm as bad as some of those TV newscasters, always trying to make a pun. No biggie about going to the Off Topic forum though. I imagine some (MAC, Linux users, et al) would like to see Microsoft and Windows itself moved to the Off Topic Forum.

MOD EDIT: this is the topic of the Windows OS forum: Operating System, Common Application & ThinkPad Utilities Questions...
This post has links to articles and is more of a discussion than anything technical, it is more off topic than related to an actual question about the operating system or its application. Posts are not moved because of the title in the subject.

HAHA. Hilarious. I hate ms. (currently using it, but will switch to openBSD in May after the semester ends!)

Hmm , But Windows® is the most populer OS ever.
Ultimately bugs will be there otherwise it would not look like a human
built Operating system. In Linux, condition is far more wrost regarding to copy rights and etc. For example, I use Mandriva 2006 on
my ThinkPad, last week i tried SuSe 10.0, It was not able to play MP3 or
any video files in "Amrock" audio player. In Mandriva 2006 i can play all
audio files in Amrock player without installing any plug inss. And yes
versions of the player at both distro is same. It's weird. Really weird. One
company supports, other has no in built plug in's.

Microsoft mean to gather info to make IE even better. But it's true that
Mozilla FireFox hitting market. But when it comes to asian language support while viewing web pages, IE rocks. Every browser has some draw
backs.

Amey Abhyankar.

Well, in regards to playing mp3s...you only need to download one thing; that works on all Linux distros regardless, so what does that have to do with anything? Not sure what you meant to get at.
IE still has some issues, like *.pngs...IE hates those and Firefox handles them just fine; they are pretty compact and useful if you want to design a decent website.

She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
