Got this in an e-mail, thought I'd share in case its news to anyone:

The Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Mini-PCI Adapter originally announced in Hardware Announcement 105-371 , dated September 13, 2005, is not supported in ThinkPad® X31/X40 and T40/T41 systems.

The Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Mini-PCI Adapter is supported on the following systems:

Going by that message the adapter does support the X41, which I sure hope it does - it appeared to work fine the last five months for me.
