ZeroShock sleeve for T41p

#1 Post by zulu » Mon Jul 26, 2004 11:55 am

I would like to buy a Zeroshock sleeve for my T41p with the "big" battery.
There is a MEDIUM and LARGE size for 15''notebooks.
Will the MEDIUM fit?

zulu, I believe the medium will fit, but unless you know of another supplier, I think they're all out of that size. If you do know of another source for them, though, I'd love to hear about it because I wanted to order one.

primedude, i haven't found another source than shinza.com yet, but was willing to wait until mid-Sep. another option would be to have s/b bring it over from Japan (immensly popular there).

what about a "VALUE" case from ICON (http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/store ... lCurrId=73) for the interim period?

I also tried looking for another source of ZERO SHOCK cases but was unable to find any. If anyone else knows of another vendor please let us know. :D

Hi~

I tried the medium size zero shock pouch with my T41p and it fits good... but due to the 9 cell battery the bottom part is kinda slugish...(if you put the bottom of your laptop first...)

Hope it helps and check out tumi...it's not a zero shock but it's Tumi...

I have a 14" T42 with a 6-cell battery and the 15" medium bag from Shinza. Though not your exact configuration, I can probably shed some light on fit issues...

The sleeve slacks a little less than half an inch all the way around my laptop. I didn't really like the slack, so I cut and rolled up a scarf to about an inch in diameter and stuffed it in the back of the sleeve. I imagine this would be similar to adding the high capacity battery to the back of the laptop. Now, it fits very snugly from front to back, and the sides have a minimal amount of slack. It isn't a perfect fit, so if you're looking for something to fit your laptop like a glove, you may want to look elsewhere, but it is a good fit and it is a very high quality sleeve.

Hope this helps.

For $10 more...

It seems that there are some on ebay, for $10 more:

I'm not sure if it's worth it, but it's tempting... I should be getting my T42 at some point in the near future, if all goes well.[/url]

The Zero-shock looks like a winner! I assume a 15" with 9-cell battery is just too much of a stretch for the medium?
