Hi my fingerprint reader seems to work flawlessly and i was wondering how do i set it up so that i can use for all log-ins and other password protected things. Banking, email, etc

Finger Print Reader Questions
Hopefully someone will give you a better description or correct any errors, but here goes:
Basically, you need to have the Client Security Password Manager 'CSPM' (padlock on red background) displayed in the system tray. There is a help menu, if you right click the icon, which may help once you have enabled the facility... Right clicking shows 'Create' and 'Manage' Run up your browser and go to a web page requiring a password or data. Right click the Create entry, on CSPM icon and this will open up the password manager dialog box. Enter your text in the password manager then, using the cross hair icon, drag the cross hair icon to the entry box on the web browser. Close the CSPM box. Close the browser and open it up again. Go to the same web page as before. Double click the CSPM icon and in a few seconds the fingerprint entry picture will come up. Swipe your finger and the data will be entered into the box on the web browser.
To enable the CSPM system tray icon, if I remember correctly, you go to the Client Security Solution program, probably in the ThinkVantage folder. (I have to admit that I forget whether you go to the advanced menu or simply click either ‘Use Fingerprint Software.’ I think that it may be ‘Set Security and Backup Preferences’ under Advanced, but for me to test it would mean destroying some settings, so it tells me. Hence lack of conclusive details.)
The other thing you will need to do is enable Fingerprints in the Password Manager Settings. To do this, right click the CSPM icon and select Password Manager Settings. Under the Policy Settings tab, set the three entries below fingerprint to Always.
I hope that the above helps. Just started using the feature and it seems to be very useful.

Jusjay, there are some recent threads here related to using this feature. I'd start with your Access IBM button, read the help information and wizards, then search here if you get stymied.
Another way to launch teh CSPM, btw, CTRL + SHIFT + G works to recall an entry, or prompt to create a new one.
